CH Blayre’s One Moment In Time, CGC “Weatherby” is by CH Millette Paint The Town Brown “Brown” and my foundation bitch, CH Millette’s American Dream “Ellie”. She was the pick bitch out of the first litter. From the moment she was born, she was clearly my "heart dog"! In April 2006, Clint Livingston and Weatherby made their debut in the show ring and took it by storm! Three months later, she completed her Championship during the very competitive Montana / Idaho circuit.
As successfully as she was in the show ring , she continued her winning ways by proving to be an outstanding brood bitch. She produced a total of 15 puppies--- her most noteworthy get are:
GCH Copley’s Looks Good On Paper “Behr”
GCH Copley Paper Dragon “Chessie”
GCH Copley’s Watch Time Fly “Emma”
Aside from her success in the show ring and whelping box, she is a truly fantastic pet regardless of where she was- a horse show, in the house, in a hay field or on a walk. She was always happiest with her people and in the midst of what every activity is taking place!
On September 13, 2019 with a broken heart and a tear streaked face, I walked the last mile with my first great spotted love affair & my heart dog, Weatherby. She was from the first litter I ever whelped, the puppy that demanded a little more and stole my heart in the process. I was hers and she was mine, in the coming months and years she was an integral part of every step. I believe that a heart dog comes into your life and changes it completely, for me, that was Weatherby. Her puppies, grand puppies and great grand puppies have touch many people's lives and through them her legacy and love will continue.
But for me on that day, the day that I walked the last mile with her after having her by my side for the past 15 years, it was the only day my great dog ever broke my heart.
Her memory is etched into my heart and breeding program I will be thankful for the pain, and thankful for the love I felt for her. I smile a small smile when her granddaughter, Eleanor, or great granddaughter, Elsa, turn and look at me in just "that way" or do push their nose against my leg during dinner, because in them, I see part of the dog that I loved unconditionally. Until we meet again, Weatherby, I love you!
